Resumen
A new approach to transport systems reliability based on an entirely probabilistic approach is proposed. This approach comprises two key elements: the state of the infrastructure and the behavior of the network users. It considers the state of the network through the relationship between the failure and repair rates of every link comprising the network and the user decision process as he/she uses the network to travel between two centroids. The procedure proposes an efficient strategy for modeling and managing transportation networks. The results are useful for the optimum allocation of resources for maintenance and rehabilitation.
