Abstract

The planning and management of port terminals traditionally done using management and operating ratios drawn from international experiences ratios not specifically for certain specific port systems, so it is difficult to plan and manage the exploitation of the Spanish containers terminals as very heterogeneous. The purpose of this paper is to show the application of a new methodology, in this case, artificial intelligence, through the use of probabilistic graphical models to determine optimal operating parameters and port planning, through the classification of the terminals by adding the inference virtual scenarios.

Keywords: Port planning, ratios of port exploitation, bayesian networks and container terminals
