Challenges of a new land registration system in the context of peace-building in Colombia

The development of the Peace Agreement requires the adoption of a ‘multipurpose land registration system’ that efficiently covers the entire national territory. Achieving this objective requires institutional changes that guarantee its financing and operability. It also requires a comprehensive and coherent regulatory framework which includes tools such as the delegation of cadastral responsibilities to territorial entities and the inclusion of specialized operators.
