Abstract

In this paper David Harvey explores the existing relation between the problem of surplus capital allocation and the increasing transformations of urban space. The paper, written before the world economic crisis was declared, offers a spatial analysis which anticipates the crisis and examines the consequences that the current economic model will have for future urban life.
