Percepción sobre la distribución del ingreso y satisfacción con la vida individual en América Latina

Resumen

 La desigualdad de ingresos constituye un rasgo estruc­tural en América Latina. Este artículo analizó cómo la percepción de injusticia distributiva se asocia con la satisfacción con la vida en 17 países, utilizando micro­datos del Latinobarómetro 2023 y un modelo probit ordenado multinivel. Los resultados muestran que considerar la distribución del ingreso como injusta o muy injusta se asocia con una menor satisfacción con la vida. Este vínculo puede explicarse por mecanismos de comparación social, debilitamiento de la cohesión y confianza, y tensiones económicas percibidas. El artículo aportó evidencia robusta para comprender cómo las percepciones distributivas inciden en el bienestar subjetivo y subrayó la necesidad de incor­porarlas en el diseño de políticas públicas orientadas a mejorar la calidad de vida en la región.
