Abstract
This paper presents the results of a consulting project in which a linear programming model was developed for establishing optimal packaging and delivery policies in a Colombian food company. The problem consists in minimizing transportation costs subject to capacity and packaging constraints and demand satisfaction. A sensitivity analysis showing possible future scenarios is also presented. Currently the company uses the model for optimizing its logistics operations.
