About the journal
Revista de Ingeniería is a biannual publication of the School of Engineering of Universidad de los Andes. With 500 printed copies per edition and an open access digital version, it contains articles by experts with qualified reflections on topics of prime importance to our national reality, in which engineering plays a primary role. The journal has become a technical and academic benchmark in Colombia, useful for debate and decision-making, particularly for the consolidation of new production and transformation scenarios for our territory.
Its audience includes decision makers, government officials with direct influence in the design of public policies, opinion leaders, universities and the academic community, the media and many private sector actors.
Each edition concentrates on a particular topic, for which the Editorial Committee relies on a guest editor with extensive experience and national recognition on that topic, who together with the Committee selects the most relevant national and foreign authors to analyze the problem.
The topics covered are related to the effective supply of public goods (health, education, justice, public order) and essential public services (drinking water and sanitation, roads, energy, irrigation), as well as government incentives to productive activities (credit, technical assistance, applied research).
