Abstract
This article aims at signalling the importance, between the 1920’s and 1940’s, of racial discourse in Colombia (that is, the public expressions of people influential in the country’s political and intellectual life that thought and denounced the mixture of "races" as a problem leading to degeneracy) and its proximity to the international and generic fascisms of the same period. Although this subject has been studied with growing detail in the last decade, it has not, until now, been directly related to the rise of Anthropology in Colombia as well as, paradoxically, with certain forms of indigenism.
