Abstract
In complex contexts it is necessary, from an archaeological point of view, to rethink concepts such as: “Heritage” and “Public Use”, as well as new models like “Heritage Activation” supported by a “System of Foundations” in order to face new local realities. Based on experiences at the Trapiche de Oritapo archaeological site, we have returned to “old concepts” to address the processes that emerge from the community/archaeological heritage interaction.
