Abstract
This article is a reflection on the Binational Camelid Fair organized by local institutions in the border towns of Jujuy (Argentina) and Potosí (Bolivia) with the aim of encouraging social and economic integration in the region and promoting camelid husbandry. By recording the views the different actors hold concerning development and politics we seek to show how a lack of clearly defined views and a multiplicity of interests can complicate the process of defining goals.
