El ecomarxismo entre el Antropoceno y el Capitaloceno: rupturas metabólicas, capital fósil y régimen ecológico

Resumen
Objetivo/contexto: este artículo analiza las discusiones sobre el Antropoceno y el Capitaloceno en el ecomarxismo, en especial en las escuelas de la ruptura metabólica y la ecología-mundo. Estas entraron en una confrontación conceptual sobre cómo debe ser nombrado este nuevo estado del sistema Tierra, sus características, responsables, génesis y relación con el capitalismo. Metodología: se privilegia la lectura crítica de la bibliografía reciente sobre las nociones de Antropoceno y Capitaloceno, en particular aquella producida por el ecomarxismo. Conclusiones: las principales divergencias entre las escuelas mencionadas se dan en torno al inicio del Antropoceno y el Capitaloceno, que para la primera remitiría al largo siglo XVI, mientras que para la segunda se ubicaría a comienzos del siglo XIX o a mediados del siglo XX; también se ha polemizado sobre la pertinencia del dualismo naturaleza-sociedad. A la par de las divergencias, existe consenso sobre el papel central de la acumulación de capital, la responsabilidad de los capitalistas en el proceso de cambio global y el carácter sistémico de la crisis contemporánea. Originalidad: el artículo realiza una revisión minuciosa de una de las discusiones centrales dentro del ecomarxismo, campo que cobra cada vez más relevancia en la teoría marxista contemporánea; si bien se han publicado unas pocas reflexiones análogas, estas se encuentran sesgadas por su adscripción a una de las dos escuelas en pugna.
