Abstract
In the current Francia Márquez campaign, as an unusual case in recent Colombian politics, there has been an evident interest in circulating images that directly question a series of referents, symbols and imaginaries of visual culture, art history and design; at the same time it has defined a particular way of relating to art and artists that we review in this article. Despite being such a recent and developing phenomenon, we dare to analyze some of the main images of the campaign to propose the concept of the aesthetics of visibilization as a commitment that seeks to challenge the codes of a macho, sexist and classist representation regime and to define new ways of conceiving the image. It is a strategy that deconstructs the visual grammar of the traditional political image and even goes so far as to question the iconography of the "hero" in Colombia.
