Abstract
The mythical images of the Seven Ancient Wonders are part of the collective imaginary and endure as a recurring theme in all branches of culture, not only as references or models to be emulated in architecture or painting, but also as inspiration in cinema or fantasy literature, in television series, in the world of comics, in board and video games, and even on stamps or beer labels. The iconographic tradition of these great works of the past has survived to the present day, enriched by numerous contributions over the centuries, to become one of the roots of contemporary visual culture.
