Abstract

"This article addresses the perspectives of Chinese university students learning Japanese (hereinafter referred to as EUCAJ) on the opinion essay. This is a genre of writing in Japanese that does not exist exactly in the same way in the Chinese language, making it a challenge for Chinese students of Japanese. The article seeks to understand how education in Chinese writing genres influences these students' understanding of Japanese writing forms. Through this analysis, it also aims to highlight some differences between these two languages for students studying Japanese and Chinese as foreign languages. [...]"
