Editorial Policy
Colombia Internacional (Colombian int.) is a indexed publication of diamond open access journal*, periodically which adheres to international criteria of quality, positioning, periodicity, and online availability. Its objective is to disseminate unpublished content that promotes national and international debate in the fields of Political Science and International Relations, through the analysis of current and historical political phenomena, from disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives, and relevant and innovative methodological approaches.
Colombia Internacional is a quarterly publication (January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December) that is published at the beginning of each period. It was created in 1986 and funded by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of the Andes (Colombia). All digital content is openly accessible through its website.
Colombia Internacional publishes original articles in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. In exceptional cases, translations of articles that have already been published in different languages are included when their relevance to the discussions and issues addressed is recognized. All published articles have a DOI identification number, which facilitates the creation of bibliographic references, searching for articles on the web, and cross-referencing citations between different repositories. Authors who use content published by the Journal are required to cite it.
The Journal has an Editorial Team and an Editorial Board. The Editorial Team is responsible for the operational processes of the Journal, decisions regarding the content to be published, proposing thematic focuses for special issues, ensuring quality standards are met, and the processes of indexing and dissemination of content. The Editorial Team is responsible for selecting and inviting the academics who make up the Editorial Board, and periodically reviewing the replacement of some members, taking into account the length of their tenure, areas of knowledge to strengthen, the inclusion of new institutions, and their participation in advising the Journal.
The Editorial Board proposes guidelines to define the editorial policies of the Journal, establishes the themes for special issues, ensures compliance with national and international quality standards, discusses the sections that host the content of the Journal, and proposes forms of circulation, dissemination, and indexing.

The publication rights of the articles belong to the University of the Andes. The author retains the ownership rights.
Publishing in Colombia Internacional is free of charge.
