Abstract
Harajuku Kids is a Colombian collective that, for over a decade, has served as a meeting point for young people who see Japanese fashion as a form of free, creative, and deeply personal expression.
In this edition of the Ume section, we share a selection of photographs that showcase the mastery with which its members craft outfits inspired by Harajuku’s alternative styles—from Decora to Visual Kei—blending colors, textures, and accessories with a unique sensibility.
This photo series invites us to look closely at the details, the playfulness, and the intention behind each ensemble, where dressing becomes both an artistic and affirmative act.
