Discursos naturales: El despertar de la conciencia ecológica de Reima Pietilä

Resumen

En 1960, la publicación de "Études de morphologie en urbanisme" de Reima Pietilä consolidó un proceso de experimentación teórica guiado por la búsqueda de la armonía entre el hombre y el paisaje a través de la planificación urbana y la arquitectura. La falta de claridad sobre los orígenes que impulsaron su conciencia ecológica motiva el presente artículo, cuyo objetivo es identificar cuándo y bajo qué contexto se produjo este interés por la componente paisajística en la escala urbana a partir del material inédito del archivo del Museo de Arquitectura Finlandesa (MFA). La investigación concluye que su participación en el CIAM X (1956) marcó el origen y que el concurso para el Máster Plan de Märsta-Valsta (1961) representó la primera aplicación de su postulado teórico, ambos analizados en este artículo.
