Abstract

This paper sets out to examine the new architectural narrative that has appeared over the past decade in the Central Chilean Valley by way of the Universidad de Talca. Due to the many Chilean schools of architecture this university has implemented a series of academic initiatives that are far removed from traditional architectural instruction, as well as producing a large number of small-scale architectural works. The project is of great social and geo-cultural value, the purpose of which is to enhance the memory and identity of the Chilean Central Valley’s population.
