Abstract

Enclosure systems have definite forms with a visual value that is achieved due to constructive logic invested in them: both formal and material. These two dimensions are the lens through which this paper endeavours to interpret the visual culture represented in the enclosure systems in modern architecture in Bogotá. By means of a case study, several representative buildings have been chosen that have in common the location and era in which they were constructed: they are all located in central Bogotá and were built between the 1950’s and 70’s.
