Abstract
Reflections on the city-centre have been one of modern architecture’s fields of study; Bogotá being a city that has received much attention in this area. The Tequendama-Bavaria metropolitan-area (1950-1982) is the main centre of the Bogotá International Business District. This project is an example of the result of urban ideas and suggestions that came from the Modern Movement regarding the idea of the city-centre and what it provides as well as continuingly-valid suggestions to assume the current challenge of the polycentric city and new central spaces.
