Abstract
The case of Urbanisme is emblematic in being to be able to understand the development, editing, and explosive way in which books were published by Le Corbusier during the 1920’s. The graphic strategies of the book looked to synthesise concepts into images, to make the ambiguities understandable, to appeal to the reader’s unconscious understanding through diachronic and synchronic comparisons and by frequently making comparisons of opposites. These strategies are one of the key methods, through which Le Corbusier disseminates his message in publications that consolidated, together with his conferences and presentations, an effective informative project.
