Abstract
Antonio Bonet Castellana and Le Corbusier’s ideal homes were probably not identical. However, the route they took to achieve it was not so dissimilar. Both are characterised by employing traditional techniques as well as innovative ones, coinciding in one construction technique: the traditional Catalan Vault. Several projects were the result of the meeting of these techniques, especially La Ricarda and the Jaoul maisons; excellent examples of two brilliant architects’ curiosities, together with the application of an architectural tool.
