Abstract
This paper studies the theories that led to the emergence of landscape theory, the cultural construction of beauty, and the tools used to apply poetic visions to the pragmatic; it does so with the final aim of making the landscape of sustainable production something desirable. The processes of in visu and in situ artialisation described by Alain Roger to explain how landscape theory originated can be analyzed based on other contexts that encourage the emergence of new desirable landscapes. The paper uses a catalogue of productive landscapes as well as a chronological study of artialisation’s corresponding interventions as the basis of a proposal for potential productive landscapes.
