Publication Guidelines

The Dearq journal accepts documents that present original research results related to the issue's theme in detail. These documents can be approached from an analytical, interpretative, critical, reflective, or expository perspective. Their structure generally includes the following sections: introduction, methodology, results, discussion or analysis, conclusions, and references.

Articles must be submitted as a Word document, using Times New Roman font, size 12, double-spaced, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides. The document should not contain any authorship information or the name(s) of the author(s) within the body of the text. This information must be provided separately in the  Personal and Academic Information Form as an attached document.

The document's structure should include:

*Article Body Requirements:

      1. Structure and Hierarchy:
        • Organize the article's content using headings and subheadings to reflect the content structure. Each main section should have a clear title representing the content covered. Subheadings should be used to divide subsections within the main sections.
        • The typical structure could include an introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
      2. Format and Style:
        • The text should be written in a clear and concise style.
        • Use italics for titles of works, foreign terms, and to highlight key concepts.
        • Avoid excessive use of footnotes. These should be reserved for important clarifications or additional references.
      3. Figures and Tables*
        • Figures and tables should be referenced in the text, for example: "as shown in Figure 1..." or "...(fig. 1)" (See more details below).
      4. Use of Citations and References:
        • All sources referenced in the text must have a corresponding entry in the bibliography. Sources that are not referenced in the text should not be included.
        • Avoid excessive use of long direct quotes. Use brief quotes and paraphrasing whenever possible to maintain text fluency.
        • All citations, whether direct or paraphrased, should follow the Chicago author-date format. Example: (Smith 2023, 45).
        • When omitting part of a quote, use ellipses in brackets to indicate the omission. Example: "The research shows [...] a clear trend in the results" (Smith 2023, 12).
        • Direct quotes of 40 words or more should be presented in a separate block of text, without quotation marks, and with additional indentation on both margins. This block should be clearly differentiated from the main text.
      5. Use of Quotation Marks:
        • Double quotation marks (" ") should be used for brief direct quotes within the body of the text. Example: According to the author, "the research shows a clear trend" (Smith 2023, 12).
        • Single quotation marks (' ') should be used for quotes within other quotes. Example: The study noted that "the reference to 'significant changes' was recurring" (Doe 2023, 34).
        • Avoid using quotation marks for emphasis. Instead, use italics to highlight important words or phrases.
      6. Use of Dashes:
        • Em dash (—) is used to insert additional comments or clarifications within a sentence. Example: The article—published in 2023—provides a detailed analysis.
        • En dash (-) is used to connect words in compound terms or to separate numbers in ranges. Example: The quality-price relationship was evaluated.

* Figures and Tables Requirements:
