Abstract
This paper examines the main institutional and public management innovations related to the merger control in Colombia in the period 2013-2017. The article identifies and discusses four developments, that occurred during the period of study, linked with: i) international cooperation, ii) institutional stability, iii) transparency of the proceedings, and, iv) decisions of objection and remedies. Furthermore, the text presents some challenges in the implementation of the merger control and alternatives that may be pertinent in the Colombian context.
