Resumen

Ralph Herne (1888) es la única obra situada en la ciudad de Buenos Aires que escribió W. H. Hudson, el naturalista angloargentino mejor conocido por sus ambientaciones rurales. El relato reviste interés por esta singularidad, pero además brinda una perspectiva histórica única, pues la historia transcurre durante la epidemia de fiebre amarilla de 1871. Interesa la representación del espacio porteño a través de los lugares que se escenifican en el texto hudsoniano.
