Abstract
During the national dates, the Argentine newspapers of the early 20th century, particularly the provinces’, were in the habit of publishing special commemorative editions. On this paper, we are interested in studying, on one hand, the literary and social representations of the patriotic as literary and historic values in the special editions published between the centennials of the May Revolution and the Argentine Independence on the Tucuman newspapers El Orden and La Gaceta. On the other hand, we have analyzed the “literary value” of the newspaper serials presented in El Orden facing the patriotic literature which pre-designs a “national cultural identity”.
