Adaptación de un programa de intervención para violencia situacional de parejas

Resumen

Este artículo presenta la adaptación de un programa de intervención, que se fundamenta en una aproximación sistémica y centrada en soluciones al problema de la violencia situacional de pareja. Se discute la literatura sobre la efectividad de diferentes tipos de intervención para la violencia de pareja y se argumenta la pertinencia de la terapia de pareja en casos de violencia situacional. Posteriormente, se describe el proceso de adaptación del programa de intervención desarrollado por Stith, McCollum y Rosen (2011) para su utilización en el contexto colombiano. Los hallazgos de la evaluación de la adaptación preliminar evidencian que los consultantes perciben cambios en términos de la eliminación de la violencia física, la disminución de la violencia psicológica y el aumento del tiempo compartido, la comunicación y la intimidad de la pareja. Finalmente, se discuten los hallazgos en relación con otros programas sustentados en evidencia para violencia de pareja.
