Resumen
En la educación superior, el liderazgo es un concepto que involucra una pluralidad de aristas, como la gestión eficiente, los procesos académicos y la identidad institucional. Inspirado en este modelo multidimensional, el presente estudio explora cómo los profesores directivos interpretan el liderazgo. A partir de un enfoque cualitativo con entrevistas semiestructuradas, la investigación resalta las diversas motivaciones, modelos de toma de decisiones y visiones sobre el liderazgo en la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de
los Andes (Colombia). Los hallazgos, en primer lugar, revelan que el liderazgo depende de contextos personales y profesionales, lo cual permite subrayar la necesidad de identificar y formar tempranamente a los futuros administradores académicos. En segundo lugar, aportan estrategias para replicar prácticas exitosas y promover la diversidad de género en roles administrativos en toda la Universidad.
