Abstract
The paper presents a diagnostic undertaken for the construction of a reinforced concrete chimney built in 1982 in the thermoelectric company Tasajero S. A. (Norte de Santander), taking as a starting point, the field test and the structural analyses undertaken in order to determine the possible causes of damage observed and predict its behaviour under systemic pressure in order to establish the degree of repair work and maintenance required for its operation, according to the current construction norms (nsr-98).
