Abstract

Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez’s new campus, located on the mountainside of Valparaíso Bay, Chile, is an expression of architecture that is well-defined to intensify daily experiences. It has a volumetric complex that makes the viewer contemplate the port’s traditional houses, establishing a dynamic spatiality within its interior that draws attention to the urban and natural landscapes and creates a distant reflexion. This work by the architect José Cruz Ovalle acknowledges the ever more popular architectural trend that understands the spatial experience with a meaningful formal diversity.
