Abstract
Highlighting particular autobiographical circumstances is a powerful exercise that whoever is undertaking the project should incorporate into their design routines. The aim of this article is to show the efficiency of this practice within the teaching of and learning about architectural projects field. To do this, the paper proposes and develops the view from afar concept. This extraordinary method is capable of conceiving ideas as powerful as the pedagogical manifesto Learning from Las Vegas: an unconventional edited work that is the result of the author Denis Scott Brown having this view.
