Abstract

Following a critical review of the main contemporary currents regarding nation and nationality, this article aims to reconsider the arguments of those who state that national identities are disappearing under the impulse of globalization, along with nations and of the world order structured around them. It furthermore attempts to approach the nature of the phenomenon and to consider its relations to ethnicity and religion.
