Abstract
This article attempts to confront the esthetics that are present in Jorge Eliécer Gaitán’s political proposal and the politics that are present in Rogelio Salmona’s aesthetic proposal, in the light of an unfinished architectural project in Bogotá: The Jorge Eliécer Gaitán Museum and Cultural Centre, previously known as the “Exploratorio Nacional”.
