Kōbai is an open-access magazine published by the Center for Japan and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of the Andes, Colombia. Its purpose is to promote learning and reflection about Japan from the heterogeneity of various fields of knowledge, thus strengthening the ties between Japan and Colombia.

Collection of aquatic beings that can be found in the everyday life of downtown Bogotá or in the midst of a Sunday stroll. This illustration seeks to be the encounter between a fantastic world and our everyday life. It is based on the observation diaries (Ehon Hayabiki/画本早引) of the master Katsushika Hokusai and works by other artists of the Edo period such as Utagawa Kuniyoshi or Kawanabe Kyōsai. All of them are now recognized representatives of Ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
