At Ground Level

The artist María Margarita Jiménez presents "Close to the Ground," an immersive video and sound installation inspired by a personal vision during a walk through a high Andean forest. The work recreates the sensation of lying on the back of a large animal, represented by the mountain covered in moss and leaf litter. Using various recording and post-production techniques, Jiménez simulates the breathing of the forest surface and creates animations that form networks among the plants. The installation was exhibited in two different spaces, aiming to share this vision with the public.
