Abstract
The paper explores various educational methodologies designed to foster empathy towards animals from an early age. The authors argue that empathy is crucial to preventing animal abuse and improving coexistence between humans and animals. Additionally, it highlights that empathy is the ability to emotionally connect with the feelings of other beings, including animals. Promoting this empathy from childhood can reduce violence and abuse towards animals, as those who feel empathy are less likely to cause harm. The proposed pedagogical strategies include activities that allow students to better understand non-human animals, break prejudices, and discover a greater emotional connection with them. The article also emphasizes the importance of education in creating a more compassionate and respectful society towards animals, and how this empathy can have a positive impact on human coexistence.
